What Master’s degree should I get if I want to work fulltime in Christian Camping?

tallgaloot asked:

I just graduated from Biola University with a BA in Mass Communications with a dual minor in Christian education and Biblical Studies. I am pursuing a fullitme career in Christian camp and conference center administration. What master’s degree should I be pursuing and from where? I am leaning towards a distance learning program in order to have more flexibilitiy about where I live, etc.

a master’s degree in early childhood education would certainly give you an edge as you apply to work in christian camps. you could apply your religious interest and business savvy of communications very well to this degree.

if a distance learning program is the only option for you, then i would find an early childhood ed online community and ask around about where participants earned their degrees online. otherwise, it would be way more advantageous to attend a campus; you will get way more hands on learning, which is immeasurably important when you’re aiming to work with kids.

    good luck.
